RESUMEN

Se analiza la presencia de obras de literatura infantil y juvenil del escritor chileno Héctor Hidalgo González en YouTube. Como resultado, se identificaron 11 publicaciones presentadas a través de 37 audiolibros, animaciones y representaciones teatrales, publicados en 35 canales relacionados con la educación, entre los que destacan 3 por tener el mayor volumen de videos, suscriptores y visualizaciones: Los cuentos de Rodo; Cuento de la Choza y CNTV Infantil. El 28,6% de los cuentos fue publicado en tiempos de la pandemia por Covid-19, sobresaliendo el cuento La mujer de goma, con 728.668 visualizaciones. Se concluye la importancia del formato multimedial en la difusión de la literatura infantil y juvenil, que trasciende las fronteras geográficas y permite la creación de comunidades virtuales en torno a la lectura.

ABSTRACT

The presence of works of children’s and young adult literature by Chilean writer Héctor Hidalgo González on YouTube. As a result, 11 stories presented through 37 audiobooks, animations and theatrical performances were identified. Published in 35 channels related to education, among which 3 stand out for having the highest volume of videos, subscribers and views: Los cuentos de Rodo; Cuento de la Choza; y CNTV Infantil. 28.6% of the stories were published during the pandemic by COVID-19, with the story La mujer de goma standing out with 728,668 views. We conclude the importance of the multimedia format in the dissemination of children’s and young people’s literature, which transcends geographical borders and allows the creation of virtual communities around reading.
